I had no clue what she was talking about, I had never heard of Scentsy before in my life and I hated the idea of direct sales. "Does this mean I have to chase people in the mall like that one lady?" (I won't mention what company she's from). Actually, the excuses for not going into business were the very things that made this the perfect opportunity. First, my sister was very excited about this opportunity. I knew if she was excited about it, something must have caught her eye because she's not the type AT ALL to do this kind of thing. Secondly, because so many people like me have never heard about Scentsy, I saw opportunity in being able to introduce it to people. Lastly, we all love candles. So that day at her office we paid our $99 and both became Scentsy consultants. Little did we know what was in store for us. When our starter kit arrived, $99 seemed like a great bargain. We received 81 tester jars, a warmer, notebook, business cards and everything else we needed to start our business. (Now the Starter Kit is even more AMAZING with lots of new goodies). Even if we never sold a warmer in our life, we had already received our money's worth. I set out on this venture because I thought it would be something fun for me and my sister to do. It would give us a chance to spend "girl time" together. I am so grateful that my sister asked me to join her, because our "girl time" is turning into a successful enterprise. On March 30, 2011 - my AWE-INSPIRING team blessed me by working their businesses and I promoted to Director! I'm excited to announce our new team name - the Goal Getter Stars- because I truly belive when you dream big dreams and pray even greater prayers ANYTHING in life is available if you just open your heart to it. Our business is allowing me to do what I feel is my purpose work. I'm building a business based on strong values, quality products and I get to connect with great sisters and brothers all around. It is also giving me the flexibility to follow my true passion, and to be a world changer and difference maker by consulting for community benefit organizations. There is no doubt in my mind that God sent this opportunity for me just in time. I am so excited about the team we are building, and how this opportunity will change many lives.
